Denise grew up in Ireland with a love of German Shepherd dogs and, in 1991, moved to Australia with a young family. In 2007 after completing a professional dog grooming course with a Master trainer in Ulladulla, she opened a successful dog grooming business, Magic Mutts.
She first joined APDT in 2008 and has attended numerous conferences. In 2020 Denise completed the Delta Institute Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services and became an Accredited Professional Canine Trainer. She has over 15 years of experience working with dogs through grooming and training.
For Denise, pictured here with her beloved Rufus, each day is an opportunity to spend time with dogs and work to make their grooming experience positive. Equally, each class or training session is an opportunity to educate and communicate with guardians and dogs using positive reinforcement.
