Accredited Professional Dog Trainer
Membership $70 per year
As an Accredited Professional Dog Trainer, you receive in addition to the Member Benefits:

vetting privileges to ensure that the membership reflects the best practice in the dog training industry

use of the APDT logo specifically for Accredited Professional Dog Trainers to promote your business

a listing in the Trainers Directory so that the public can quickly locate your services

your choice of a hard or soft copy of the Click! magazine.
To apply as an Accredited Professional Dog Trainer, you must have at least one of these qualifications and credentials. If your accreditation is not shown, you may be able to apply as a Professional Dog Trainer shown below. Professional Dog Trainer
Membership $65 per year
As a Professional Dog Trainer, you receive in addition to the Member Benefits:

use of the APDT logo specifically for Professional Dog Trainers to promote your business

a listing in the Trainers Directory so that the public can quickly locate your services

your choice of a hard or soft copy of the Click! magazine.

Volunteer Dog Trainer
Membership $60 per year
As a Volunteer Dog Trainer, you must be a force-free dog training club member and receive, in addition to the Member Benefits:

voting privileges to guide the Association’s future.
To join as a Volunteer Dog Trainer, we ask you to choose an Accredited Professional Dog Trainer from our Referee List to verify your membership in a force-free dog training club. This referee will attend your club to verify its status as a force-free dog training club.
Pet Care Professional
Membership $60 per year
A Pet Care Professional is not a dog trainer but earns all or part of their income from dog-related occupations such as veterinary services, grooming, walking, daycare, boarding, allied health and nutrition.
You receive all the Member Benefits.
Associate Member
Membership $55 per year
As an Associate Member, you may be a dog trainer who does not hold qualifications or a dog owner who may be actively seeking further education about science-based training.
You receive all the Member Benefits.
Student Member
Membership $35 per year
As a Student Member, you are a current student of a registered training organisation offering certificates, accreditation, or qualifications in force-free positive training/+R or another dog-related speciality defined by the APDT. For reference, the APDT accepts these qualifications and credentials.
You receive all the Member Benefits.
